How to plan a magazine flatplan in RunMags

The RunMags flatplan is built from booked advertising orders. Signed ads for an issue wait as unplaced ads, grouped by size, ready to place on a page.

Steps

  1. Open Production > Print > Structure planner and choose the magazine and issue.
  2. Set the page count and sections.
  3. Drag the unplaced ads onto pages and add editorial placeholders.
  4. Copy the structure to other issues, or load a PDF as the page background.

What it does not do

  • No held space separate from confirmed placements.
  • No version history of the flatplan.
  • No tear sheets or proof of publication.
